Day 1: Palma de Mallorca
To get to Palma from London it is a short 2 hour 30 minute flight which is offered by most airlines departing from all airports. Once you arrive in Palma the airport is only a 20 minute drive from the city.
If you’re on a budget you’ll want to get the bus into town which costs €5 per person, please note though you will need cash!
If you don’t have cash you there are also an abundance of taxis waiting for you at the airport however this will cost around €25 minimum depending on your location in Palma. Alternatively you can also organise a private transfer to collect your from the airport.
For dinner you can head to one of our favourite places Bodega Can Rigo or if your flight arrives earlier enough you can start out your first night on a high by heading out on a Catamaran Sunset Cruise.

Day 2: Palma de Mallorca
There is so much to do in Palma! Whether you have decided to head there for a sunny weekend away full of relaxation and dinning. Or perhaps you are looking for more of an active day hunting through art galleries and sailing in the ocean. Palma is so far our favourite city destination!
Spending a full day in Palma on foot is a great way to be able to explore what the city has to offer. Make sure to check out some of the cities markets, galleries and Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca. If you have more than one day in Palma you could also head out of the city to check out the Joan Miro museum.

Day 3: Valldemossa / Deia
From Palma you are only a 25 minute drive to the scenic town of Valldemossa.
Not hiring a car why not try a Day Trip of Valldemossa & Soller Tour by Tram & Bus
When you arrive we recommend to have your breakfast and morning espresso at Forn I Pastisseria Ca’n Molinas. While you are there you can also try the traditional Ensaimada. Valldemossa is only a small town so half a day there is enough, however if you are staying over night you will be able to enjoy the town without any day tripping tourists.
After your visit in Valldemossa you can continue on another 15 minutes to read Deia. Deia is a small village located near the coast on the Northern part of Mallorca. This area is very beautiful but also home to some of the most expensive hotels and resorts on the island.
If you are looking to head down to the beach for an afternoon swim you can head down to Cala Deia. Be aware though that the road down to the beach isn’t very accessible and when it is busy there is not enough space for lots of cars to head down. It may be best to come here first things in the morning and to also booked the restaurant in advance if you’re wanting to stay for food.

Day 4: Soller/ Port de Soller
After your night in Deia you can head another 30 minutes further north to Soller. Soller is a traditional old town well known for its oranges, it celebrates its citrus growing every year with an Orange fair at the end of April/start of May. The best place to spend your day in Soller is Plaza de la Constitucion where you get to watch those wandering past as well as a perfect view of Sant Bartomeu de Soller and the tram passing infront.
To get to Port de Soller you can catch the iconic orange tram that passes through the town. If leaves Soller on the hour and returns from the port at half past the hour. If you are spending your time and basing yourself in Palma however you wish to spend the day here you are able to purchase a train ticket from Palma and combine it with the tram ticket. All the routes and timetables can be found on the tram website here.
During this day if you also have time you can explore the next town of Fornalutx however we ran out of time.

Day 5: Santanyi
From Soller we drove 1 hour west to the town of Santanyi. To get here you do drive back around Palma again so you are slightly doubling back on yourself however we planned to head to Santanyi on this day to be able to explore its famous markets. The Santanyi markets run weekly on Wednesdays and Sunday from 9am until 2pm. The markets are absolutely massive and can make the town very busy so we recommend getting here no later than 10am to be able to find parking and really enjoy the markets.
After shopping some of the local produce at the markets you can then soak up the afternoon sunshine by heading to either Cala Santanyi or Cala Figuera for a much needed swim.

Day 6: Cala LLombards & Cala Mondrago
The difference between the short drives around Mallorca was something that really surprised us. After enjoying the first part of the trip in small old towns surrounded by mountains we decided to spend the last few days of our trip by the sea. The small beach coves in Mallorca with its crystal clear water is what really drawers the crowds to this island.
The beaches even when visiting in shoulder season can become very busy. We would recommend heading to the beaches early in the morning or allowing yourself some extra time to wait patiently for parking nearby the beach. Be aware too that not all beaches have facilities so we would recommend taking your own picnic down to the beach, however please be respectful and take all your rubbish with you.

Day 7: Es Trenc & Cala Pi
This is your last day on your week in Mallorca and its worth spending it the best way by soaking up a bit more time by the sea. As Mallorca is only a small island from Es Trenc back to the airport it is only a 30 minute drive allowing you plenty of time to head back to the airport.
Make sure though that you leave enough time to be able to return your rental car at the airport. As we headed home on a Sunday we found there was a bit of a wait time to be able to return our car as there were a lot of passengers heading home.
We then left ourselves some extra time to be able to relaxing in the Priority Pass Lounge which may have been the best lounge we have been in so far, there are also two lounges in the airport so you will have plenty of space no matter which one you choose.
