How to get to Liverpool from London?
There are several different ways to get the train from London to Liverpool all which leave from Euston station in London. We chose to go from Euston to Liverpool Lime street direct on our way out which took around 2 hours and 30 minutes. To make the trip cheaper on the way back we split the jouney by taking the slower train from Liverpool Lime Street to Crewe then changed to Euston. When arriving in Liverpool there are multiple station, before arriving check which station is closest to your accomodation. Train tickets can be booked through Trainline.
If you decide to drive from London to Liverpool it will take around 4 hours and 20 min. This trip will take you via the M40 and M6 which depending on traffic can take you even longer to reach your destination. When also booking accomodation make sure to factor in having a car as parking in Liverpool can be very expensive. If you are to drive it may be best for you for you to stay on the outskirts of the city.

Things to do in Liverpool
Discover the Beatles Legacy
The most iconic things to do in Liverpool is to immerse yourself in the world of The Beatles by enjoying one of the Beatles Experiences.
You can head to The Beatles Museum, The Beatles Story or have your photo taken with The Beatles Statues along the waterfront.

Explore the Gothic Architect of the Liverpool Cathedral the largest church in Britain and the 8th in the World.
The Liver Building with its two Liver Birds watching over the city and the sea. You can head inside the historic clocktower and enjoy panoramic 360° views across Liverpool from the 15th floor.
St. Luke’s Bombed Out Church where you can see the significant damage the church suffered in the Blitz of 1941, the building has been maintained so you’re able to see the damage from WW2.

How to spend your weekend in Liverpool?
Friday:
Sit back and enjoy your train from London to Liverpool, trains run once or twice an hour. If you want to make your journey as cheap as possibly try to travel during off peak times.
Once you have arrived into Liverpool and settled into your accomodation if you still have the energy to head on out and enjoy the city’s nightlife then head to the Baltic Market. Located in the Baltic Triangle there are a lot of options for dinning as well as bars and activities.
Saturday:
Start your day with a big breakfast at Moose Cafe or Lucy in the Sky.
Then begin the morning exploring the city’s rich history and culture with a Liverpool walking tour. Immerse yourself in one of the Beatles Experiences, such as the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour exploring the band’s iconic legacy.
If the Beatles are not for you or you have some extra time in your morning why not explore one of Liverpool’s many museums, including the Tate Liverpool, Liverpool Museum, and the Maritime Museum.
Stop for a delicious lunch at one of the eateries along the Royal Albert Docks such as Rudys pizza or Rough Handmade.
After depart on a scenic Mersey Ferry ride or a relaxing River Explorer cruise, taking in stunning views of Liverpool’s waterfront.
For dinner enjoy one of Liverpools many resturants including Bacaro for Italian flavours in a vibrant setting, Ship Mitre for a relaxed pub meal or Panoramic 34 for a classy night with amazing views.

Sunday:
Start your Sunday with the amazing brunch from Hardware Coffee and Kitchen, before enjoying the last few hours you have left in Liverpool.
From here you can visit St. Luke’s Bombed Out Church, where you can see the significant damage the church suffered in the Blitz of 1941. If you need a break before continuing on from here you can head to Coffi an independent coffee shop or Ye Cracke a pub known for hosting the famous John Lennon during his youth.
After enjoy a guided tour of Liverpool Cathedral learning about its architectural design and religious importance, it is after all the largest church in Britain.
